The Other Side, March 1994 is a photographic and video installation. In the video, Amy, a young, blonde middle school student delivers a biographical book report about Jim Morrison of The Doors to an auditorium of peers. Nakia, an older African-American teacher, interprets the spoken words into American Sign Language. The photographic images (left) are exhibited with the video.
